No-Heat Half-up Style
Dirty Dirty girls- today she’s feeling heavy. We’ve got layers and layers of deep conditioner and a couple days worth of product in there. This is the time you would want to give up and start over!
Do Not Do It!!
We are going to stretch it one more day and get the best out of it! You can do it! We’ll start with our Blow-Dry in a Bottle which will condition the ends and refresh the top. We are going to bring in our heavy-hitters today!
Step 1: Blow-Dry in a Bottle
Start with the Paul Mitchell Smoothing Gloss Drops* which is silicone-based and a little more heavy so it seals down the ends because they are THIRSTY! Now, it’s time for the good stuff- dry shampoo, and lately I have been loving the Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Dry Shampoo Foam! Shake it up a little and take some product into your hand. It’s a super cool foam which will leave a unique texture. Use your palms to push the product, focusing on the roots and the part. Then, work it into the deeper layers of hair at the middle and bottom. This freshens up your hair so that it is light and clean. You can tell it’s done when the foam dries out and your hair is refreshed.
Step 2: The Top Knot
Use your index finger to separate a top section away from the rest of your hair for a cute knot. Gather it into a small ponytail at the top. I like to place the knot about four fingers from my hairline so that it is at the top of my head. Twist your hair and wrap it clockwise, letting it fold on top of each other. Take a rubber band to secure it. Take a little more foam to freshen up the rest of the hair at the bottom and sides.
Step 3: Accessorize!
I love spicing up styles with some accessories. I have two really pretty gold bobby pins to add a little sparkle and shine that will catch the eye. I love using them to secure the ends, creating an X shape with two bobby pins that both keep the knot intact and add some fun!
It does not have to be perfect. We are not perfect!
