Good morning, Dirty Girls! Today we’re going to reduce the amount of time that we stare at ourselves in the mirror by reusing and recycling our style. Today’s style is a simple top knot with a lot of fun texture out the outside. You will need a rubber band, a few bobby pins, a heat-protectant spray, some texture spray, and a smoothing iron. Let’s get started!

Step 1: The Knot

A fun little twist

First, Divide your hair in half, top and bottom. Tie the top section in a high ponytail with a rubber band and spray it with some texture spray. Then, twist that ponytail until it’s all swirled up to the end and twist it again at the top of your head into a small bun. Take your bobby pins and secure the knot so that it’ll last for an entire day!

Step 2: Texture

We love that extra depth!

Onto the rest of your hair. We are about to add some texture and make this style a little more flirty and fun! Don’t forget to spray your hair with heat-protectant spray, We don’t want to damage those gorgeous locks. Now, for the fun part. Take your smoothing iron and turn your hand back and forth as you move down small sections of your hair so that the strands almost zig-zag. Repeat on all of the hair you have “down”. This creates soft, subtle waves and movement! Spray a little texture spray as well for some more excitement.
